Silk above Chinatown by eMokid64
Silk above Chinatown
See the Speed Painting and breakdown video here…

Digital Painting of Silk in her 1st webbing costume from the Amazing Spider-man #4 Vol 3. High above Chinatown NYC during a parade while drinking bubble tea. It took me a VERY long time to learn more how to digitally paint but I think I am finally making some progress ever since I've only been doing this for a year now with no paper.

Honey Lemon Character Sheet #4 by eMokid64
Honey Lemon Character Sheet #4
Honey Lemon Character sheet colored with jacket

Minor redesigning of Marvel Comic’s version of Honey Lemon from Big Hero 6. Subtle changed like taking away the high heels, giving her a red belt for clarity, more asian looking face, smaller breast, making her jacket more of a military style, a Japan flag on her jacket, added a kanji on the back of her jacket, moved her Cat tattoo from her lover back to her shoulder, covering her chest more with a sport bra, and making her overall more muscular.

Currently working as an animator, concept artist, matte painter and storyboard artist, Mario U aka eMokid64 continues to try to make his way as a comic book artist professional!!

I believe that superhero comic books are one of the most important works of art in the United States. Reading stories about characters like Spider-man, Batman, Superman, and other superheroes made me want to become a better person in life. It drove me to become a Paramedic and work in the NYPD. I have seen American Soldiers, Police Officers, and other everyday heroic people also inspired by this amazing work of art!

It also help me want to become an artist. I remember trying to emulate my favorite artist in my comic book every week during my high school years. I would not have any artistic skills without my comic books and manga.

My goal is still to inspire the next generation of real life heroes with my own comic book stories.
